About z/XDC:

z/XDCColeSoft Marketing's Extended Debugging Controller®, z/XDC®, is a powerful interactive diagnostic tool for Assembler Language programmers. z/XDC greatly improves the efficiency of problem recognition and resolution in machine language environments.

David Cole, ColeSoft Marketing's founder and architect of z/XDC, built the product for the full spectrum of assembler programmers, from raw beginners to experienced system level programmers.

From the very beginning, Dave has designed z/XDC to work in a wide variety of environments:

  • Authorized, non-authorized
  • Multi-tasking, single tasking
  • Simple programs, complex subsystems
  • SVC routines, PC routines, exit routines, subroutines
  • Task mode, SRB mode
  • Cross memory, local memory
  • 24-bit, 31-bit, 64-bit addressing
You name it, z/XDC works in it.

Dave began building z/XDC's ancestors in the late 70's when he became frustrated with the so called "tools" offered by IBM. Since then, he has steadily improved and enhanced the z/XDC product line. Throughout the process, Dave has drawn great ideas from z/XDC's user community, some of the most sophisticated programmers in the world.

The great majority of z/XDC's users are themselves software vendors or Fortune 500 companies that maintain complex applications written in Assembler Language. These users choose z/XDC because of its unmatched power and flexibility.

Assembler programming is an extremely tedious and abstract process. Our users have embraced z/XDC enthusiastically because it allows them to see on their screens what, without z/XDC, they can only imagine in their minds. z/XDC brings visual reality to the abstraction of Assembler programming.
